About The Book
Carolyn Boettner
Carolyn Boettner didn’t just draw; she breathed life into the page with intricate linework and botanical precision. Using a delicate technique of stippling and hatching (tiny dots and lines), she created depth that makes her art look like a finished masterpiece even before you pick up a pencil. She was famous for her “flowing edges,” where vines and hair bloom wildly toward the margins, and her layered details that hide tiny petals and patterns for you to discover as you color.
Her pages are a treasure hunt of hidden wildlife like birds and butterflies tucked into the corners balanced with a meditative symmetry that turns every floral mandala into a moment of pure peace.
Carolyn Boettner spent over 50 years coloring the world with kindness, imagination, and a tireless devotion to art. Though she left us in December 2024, her creative spirit didn’t stop—it simply waited for a new partner.
My Color Art: Share the Love is more than a coloring book; it is a posthumous invitation from a lifelong artist to you. Carolyn believed that art was a “quiet language of a resting heart,” and she spent her final years perfecting the techniques of alcohol markers and pencil blending that fill these pages.
Now, she invites you to pick up your brushes, pens, and pencils to finish what she started. When you add your color to her lines, your hands meet hers across time. This is your chance to merge your artistic soul with hers and help her love reach every corner of the world
